Will my factory warranty be compromised?

Having your vehicle log book serviced at Edward's Mechanical will not compromise your warranty. We use genuine parts and recommended lubricants as per the Manufacturer's requirements.

What are your business hours?

Edward's Mechanical is open for business 8am - 5pm weekdays except for public holidays, and Saturdays by appointment. We usually close for several days over the Christmas period.

Who do I contact outside of these hours?

Ring 4636 1933 as our phone is diverted to one of our mechanics, who will be able to speak with you.

How much will it cost?

We provide many services to our customers from regular servicing to full engine rebuilds, from diagnostic analysis with computers to brake pad replacement. Ring us or visit us for a friendly chat to discuss your car's needs and we can give you an estimated cost of repairs. We give firm quotes upon full dismantling and cost breakdown for parts required to fix it. We will discuss with you how much it will cost before we carry out repairs. At times the problem is not clear and the subsequent cost is not certain. In this case we will talk with you as the problem and its repair develops.

How will I get home, or to work, after dropping off my car?

We will give you a lift to home or work (in the Toowoomba residential area), or we have a loan car available for $10.00 a day for travel to and from our workshop.

How do I pay?

Our policy is payment on completion and we accept the following methods of payment:

  • We accept all major credit cards.
  • EFTPOS
  • Cash
  • Cheque - by prior arrangement and vehicle released after cheque has cleared.
  • Direct debit - vehicle released upon receipt of funds to our account.

What are your warranty terms?

Labour - We give 6 months warranty on our workmanship.
New Parts - 12 months warranty (pending manufacturer's terms)
Second hand Parts - 3 months warranty. (in the case of part failure, the labour to replace the failed part is not warranted and is paid by the vehicle owner, but the part is warranted).

What vehicles do you work on?

We work on all makes and models of vehicles. We work on new cars as well as old cars, and light trucks. We carry out training to keep up to date with new vehicles and purchase tooling to service & maintain current models.

Will you fix my car while I wait?

Most times we will need your car for a morning/afternoon or the day, depending on what it needs. Sometimes an intermittent problem may require extra time to diagnose & repair.
